حضرت مفتی سلمان منصور پوری صاحب دامت برکاتہم العالیہ ایک موقع پر ارشاد فرماتے ہیں:

"جب شیخ الاسلام حضرت مفتی تقی عثمانی صاحب أطال اللہ بقاؤہ دارالعلوم دیوبند تشریف لائے، تو اس وقت دارالعلوم کے جلیل القدر محدث و استاذ، حضرت مولانا ریاست علی بجنوری رحمہ اللہ بقیدِ حیات تھے۔
دارالعلوم دیوبند کے سامنے واقع 'طبیہ' کے میدان میں ایک عظیم الشان جلسہ ہوا، جہاں حضرت مولانا ریاست علی صاحبؒ نے حضرت مفتی تقی صاحب کے بارے میں فرمایا:

"اگرچہ مفتی تقی عثمانی صاحب دارالعلوم دیوبند سے باضابطہ طور پر وابستہ نہیں، لیکن اس وقت وہ پوری دنیا میں فکرِ دیوبند کے حقیقی ترجمان ہیں۔"*

حضرت مفتی سلمان صاحب دامت برکاتہم مزید ارشاد فرماتے ہیں:
*"مولانا ریاست علی صاحب رحمہ اللہ کا یہ جملہ آج بھی حرف بہ حرف سچ ثابت ہو رہا ہے۔"*
