Book Review: The City of Lost Cats by Tanya Lloyd Kyi 🐾📚

The City of Lost Cats is an absolute gem for your family's bookshelf. When all the felines in a bustling city suddenly vanish, a brave young girl named Fiona steps up to solve the mystery. It is a fast-paced, bighearted dventure that will keep readers aged 8–12 completely hooked from the very first page.

The book centers on 12-year-old Fiona, who is struggling with deep grief and displacement after the tragic death of her parents. When Fiona discovers that the forgotten sanctuary, that's under immediate threat by a demolition crew, is inhabited entirely by stray, abandoned cats and chaotic parakeets. Fiona makes it her personal mission to halt the demolition . She seeks help across town—from the library to Municipal Hall—trying desperately to change the fate of the property.

My favorite part about the book is how much courage that 12 years showed, how she tried her level best to stood up for those animals and fought till the end to provide a safe home for those animals.

Beyond the feline fun, the narrative highlights the power of community teamwork, perseverance through difficulties, and standing up for what is right.
