Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari has announced that physical classes will commence from 06 April 2026 (Monday to Thursday).

💻 Online classes will be held on Fridays as per the schedule.

Students are advised to follow the updated timetable strictly and ensure regular attendance for smooth academic activities.

Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari has officially announced the resumption of physical classes starting from 01 April 2026.

🕘 Morning Session:
Monday to Thursday | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

🕒 Evening Session:
Monday to Thursday | 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

All students are advised to attend classes as per the schedule and ensure regular participation. Please stay updated through official channels for further instructions.

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Prof. Dr. Akhtar Baloch, former Vice Chancellor of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University, Lyari, Karachi.

Dr. Akhtar Baloch was a visionary leader, a dedicated academician, and a mentor to many. During his tenure as Vice Chancellor, he played a pivotal role in the development and progress of BBSUL. His tireless efforts in strengthening the academic structure, enhancing research culture, and improving the university’s infrastructure have left a lasting impact on the institution and the community it serves.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and students. May Allah (SWT) grant him the highest place in Jannah and give patience and strength to those he leaves behind.

BBSUL holds successful solidarity rally against Indian aggression
On Tuesday, May 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM, BBSUL held a peaceful rally from its main campus to condemn recent Indian aggression and show unity with Pakistan.

Heads of departments, officers, teachers, staff, and students took part with great spirit. The rally was led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Hussain Mehdi.

In his speech, Dr. Mehdi said,
“Our university stands with Pakistan. This rally sends a message of unity, peace, and national solidarity.”

The university thanked all participants and promised to keep promoting patriotism, peace, and national pride.

Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Layri will remain closed on Thursday 1 May 2025.
