Led by Dr. Arham Shamsi, Senior Physiotherapist, the session highlighted the latest advancements in rehabilitation practices, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based approaches to improve patient outcomes and clinical effectiveness.
Workshop B: Technological Advancement in Sports Sciences
Led by Rumman Raees, Pakistan’s international fast bowler, this workshop focused on the expanding role of technology in sports sciences, showcasing innovative tools and evidence-based strategies to enhance athletic performance and optimize injury prevention and management.
Both sessions reinforced the significance of integrating evidence-based practices across rehabilitation and sports sciences to advance professional standards and outcomes.

The 1st International Conference on Rehabilitation and Sports Sciences: Advancing Research and Policy for the Development of Sports in Pakistan was successfully held at the University of Karachi.
Organized by the Department of Health, Physical Education & Sports Sciences, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program, the conference brought together researchers, clinicians, and policymakers to exchange evidence-based insights and strengthen the future of sports sciences in Pakistan.
