👏 In collaboration with the Office of the University Librarian, FAS hosted Peter Kimani and Bina Shah in a moderated conversation with Dean Stephen Lyon to celebrate Author’s Day on 1 November 2023.

🌍 We had audiences joining from across all of our campuses in the UK, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and in-person in Pakistan.

📚 The conversation was thrilling as we explored the writing process, the development of content and learnt about the authors and their works over the last several decades.

The University of Michigan welcomed Princess Zahra Aga Khan, AKU President Sulaiman Shahabuddin and fellow University representatives on Oct 30, 2023.

Senior leadership from both universities formally signed a memorandum of understanding to expand ongoing collaborative efforts.

“Partnership is powerful,” Princess Zahra Aga Khan said. “The AKU/U-M Collaborative Platform for Improving Health builds on what is already a highly successful partnership between two institutions with common values and unique strengths. I look forward to seeing our faculty members continue to work together to deliver new tools and insights that can improve health in Africa, Asia and beyond.”
