Fruits Day - Urdu Role Play Activity!"

Today at Almuntaha Islamic School, our little learners stepped into the world of fruits through a delightful Urdu role play activity! As part of our weekly theme, students explored fruit names, colors, and tastes — and what better way to reinforce their learning than by living it!

From shopkeepers to smart little customers, children practiced conversational Urdu, identified fruits, and confidently expressed themselves in a fun, meaningful setting.

Learning is sweetest when it’s hands-on — and today was a beautiful blend of language, creativity, and joyful interaction.

Title: “Ammi ka Dupatta” – A Colorful Learning Journey in Urdu

Today, our Kindergarten 2 children explored the magical world of colors through the beautiful Urdu story “Ammi ka Dupatta.”
The story follows a curious little boy who opens his mother’s cupboard and uses her colorful dupattas for imaginative play—making tents, skipping ropes, and even hiding from his mother!
As we narrated the story, our children enacted the scenes with excitement—especially the part where "Daanish, kahan ho?" was called out and one child playfully hid under a pink dupatta, just like in the story.

Children not only listened and acted, but also:

Discovered color mixing magic using paints

Created fingerprints to show blue water splashes by an elephant and lily pads in a pond

Spelled color names in Urdu by completing half-letter shapes

Built their own tent and enjoyed joyful play inside

Learned new vocabulary like orange (نارنجی), pista hara (پستہ ہرا), and aasmaani (آسمانی) by touching and naming colorful crepe streamers set up as a backdrop.

A beautiful display board for “Ammi ka Dupatta” completed our cozy, story-rich corner. It was a day full of imagination, language, and sensory fun!

Magical Moments at Our Storytelling Station!
This week, our Kindergarten 2 explorers stepped into a world of imagination through our Storytelling Series!
We set up enchanting stations: a Dino Craft Corner, a Potion-Making Station, and a cozy Storytelling Nook.

The children fully immersed themselves — from carefully crafting dinosaurs to mixing magical potions with giggles and multiple tries!
One of the highlights was watching a young storyteller create her "Dino Potion," blending creativity, persistence, and joy.

Through these stations, we witnessed language come alive, fine motor skills bloom, and confidence sparkle.
Each little action told a bigger story: of courage, creativity, and fun learning!

Swipe through to see the magic unfold!

"Our kindergarten students had a ROAR-some time in our English curriculum storytelling session this Friday!

We read "The Dragon Who Couldn't Breathe Fire" and learned that being different is what makes us special. Our little dragons discovered that it's okay to not be like others and that positivity can lead to new opportunities!

The kids had a blast making clay dinosaurs and magic potions, just like the witch in the story! Watch our fast-forward video to see the creativity and fun unfold! [insert video link]

It was a joyful experience, and we're so proud of our young learners for embracing their creativity and individuality. "
