Terminal Exam (1st Semester) 2026 (Morning) Timetable

The Department of Applied Physics, University of Karachi successfully organized the Awareness Session on Dysmenorrhea Education and Personal Hygiene Practices today.

The session proved to be highly informative and valuable for our students, reinforcing the importance of health awareness particularly women’s health within academic environments. A key message echoed throughout the session: “A healthy student is a confident learner.”

We are especially grateful to Dr. Asma Iqbal (Assistant Professor, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Karachi) for delivering such an insightful and valuable talk.

We extend our sincere thanks to our collaborators, HOECHST Pakistan Pharmaceutical and Sialz Events and Destination, for their support in organizing this impactful session including the provision of awareness kits for the participants.

This initiative was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Dr. Ambreen Insaf (Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Physics), who arranged and coordinated the program.

A heartfelt appreciation to our students for their active participation and engagement, which truly enriched the session.

The Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee of the Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC-CIEC) conducted an inspection visit to the Department of Applied Physics, University of Karachi, on April 7, 2026, marking an important step in our continued commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance.

During the visit, the department presented its academic structure, research contributions, laboratory facilities, and quality enhancement practices. The engagement with the Program Evaluation Team was highly productive, providing valuable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

We sincerely thank the respected evaluator Dr. Junaid Kareem Khan, Chairman, Department of Physics, NED University for his professional evaluation and guidance.

Appreciation is also extended to our faculty, administrative and lab staff, and students for their collective efforts in ensuring the successful conduct of the visit.

We look forward to further strengthening our standards in education, research, and institutional development.
