Glimpses of Mehfil e Milad un Nabwi(May Allah Peace Be Upon Him)

Tolerance is respect, acceptance and appreciation of the rich diversity of our world's cultures, our forms of expression and ways of being human. Today learners of Grade 1B celebrated International Day of tolerance in their morning assembly presentation. Intolerance in a society is the sum-total of the intolerance of its individual members. Bigotry, stereotyping, stigmatizing, insults and racial jokes are examples of individual expressions of intolerance to which some people are subjected daily. Intolerance breeds intolerance. It leaves its victims in pursuit of revenge. In order to fight intolerance individuals should become aware of the link between their behavior and the vicious cycle of mistrust and violence in society.

1 in 10 adults worldwide have diabetes. Over 90% have type 2 diabetes. Close to half are not yet diagnosed. In many cases, type 2 diabetes and its complications can be delayed or prevented by adopting and maintaining healthy habits. Knowing your risk and what to do is important to support prevention, early diagnosis and timely treatment.

Understanding diabetes is the first step towards managing and preventing it, a guest speaker session was conducted by Dr. Muhammad Mohiuddin Alamgir father of Maryam Khan IGCSE-I in the morning assembly to create awareness among learners and to control this deadliest spreading disease. We’re thankful to our esteemed guest for his contribution in spreading knowledge and helping our community to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
