Prof. Dr. Syed Riaz Baquar, PhD (Germany), DSc (BMU), T.I. (former Professor of Pharmacognosy at BIPS, 1997 to 2016) has passed away (1935-2021) due to COVID.
He was among the pioneers who participated in establishing BIPS, Baqai Cadet College, and Baqai Veterinary College. He also served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Baqai Journal of Health Sciences for almost two decades. He was awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the Govt. of Pakistan in 2015 on his outstanding services to the country. He was the author of many books on Genetics, Botany and Pharmacognosy.
May Allah (SWT) give him highest place in Jannah, aameen.
