Here are some of the famous supplications (duas) of Prophet Musa (Moses, peace be upon him) mentioned in the Quran:
1. Supplication for Expanding the Heart and Ease in Affairs
This dua was made by Prophet Musa (AS) when Allah commanded him to go to Pharaoh:
رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِيۙ(۲۵) وَ يَسِّرْ لِيۡۤ اَمۡرِيۙ(۲۶) وَ احۡلُلۡ عُقۡدَةً مِّنۡ لِّسَانِيۙ(۲۷) يَفۡقَهُوۡا قَوۡلِيۡ(۲۸)
(Surah Taha: 25-28)
Translation:
"O my Lord! Expand my breast (with assurance), and ease my task for me, and untie the knot from my tongue, so that they may understand my speech."
2. Supplication for a Helper
Prophet Musa (AS) prayed to Allah to make his brother Prophet Haroon (Aaron, AS) his helper:
وَ اجۡعَلْ لِّيۡ وَزِيۡرًا مِّنۡ اَهۡلِيۙ(۲۹) هٰرُوۡنَ اَخِىۙ(۳۰) اشْدُدْ بِهٖۤ اَزۡرِيۙ(۳۱) وَ اَشْرِكْهُ فِيۡۤ اَمۡرِيۙ(۳۲)
(Surah Taha: 29-32)
Translation:
"And appoint for me a helper from my family, Haroon (Aaron), my brother. Strengthen my back through him, and let him share my task."
3. Supplication for Protection and Guidance
Prophet Musa (AS) made this dua when he was leaving Egypt towards Madyan:
رَبِّ نَجِّنِيۡ مِنَ الۡقَوۡمِ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ
(Surah Al-Qasas: 21)
Translation:
"O my Lord! Save me from the wrongdoing people."
4. Supplication for Sustenance
When Prophet Musa (AS) arrived in Madyan, he prayed to Allah for sustenance:
رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ
(Surah Al-Qasas: 24)
Translation:
"O my Lord! Indeed, I am in need of whatever good You send down to me."
