Representatives of the Punjab Food Authority visited our school for the promotion of their "Save Punjab Save Pakistan" campaign.
The main aim of their campaign was to urge students to quit unhealthy eating habits and adopt a healthy life style.
Important information about a healthy diet and its necessary components was shared and the students came to know the difference between a healthy and unhealthy diet. Some nutritional facts and the negative impacts of junk food on human health were also told.
In the end, students asked questions which were answered in detail by the guest speaker. Lyceonians really enjoyed this informative seminar.

Report onDefence day
Defence day is celebrated every year on 6th September to pay tribute to the martyrs of the war of 1965 who laid down their lives and to salute the veterans who fought to defend and uphold the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan.
The main aim of this celebration was to:
•Pay tribute to the heroes as well as to commemorate the sacrifices of the brave Pakistan armed forces and the civilians who sacrificed their lives for the sake of their dear homeland.
• Pledge that people of Pakistan will always stand together for the prosperity and safety of their country.
• Create a sense of responsibility and loyalty towards our country.
• Let the enemy know that all passions for our country are still alive.
The Student Council of the school decorated the background with posters made by the students. They celebrated Defence day with full zeal and zest.
The event consisted of many segments starting from the recitation of the Holy Quran which was followed by speeches full of devotion and passion for their country. The speeches were well-delivered and were appreciated. After that, the students of class 5 presented a high spirited play based on the historical events of the war of 1965. The play captivated everyone.
Next, the students of class 6 and 7 presented a national song to pay homage to the martyred soldiers and officers.
The event ended with the speech of our Branch Head, Mrs. Naveeda Haroon, in which she told students the value of independence and the reason we celebrate Defence Day.
We should firmly vow to be loyal & responsible not only to defend but to work for the prosperity & progress of our motherland.
