4th Conference on Health Tourism in Islamic Countries (CHTIC) Mashhad – Islamic Repblic of Iran, 26-27 November 2013
We have been informed by ECO Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECO CCI) vide its letter no. 1/34/421 dated 4th November 2013 that Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) in collaboration with ICCIA and the Razvai Hospital – Mashhad, is organizing the 4th Conference on Health Tourism in Islamic Countries (CHTIC) on 26-27 November 2013 in Mashhad, Islamic Republic of Iran. (Programme attached).
On the sidelines of this event the 2nd Coordination Meeting of the Health Tourism Co operations among the ECO Member States will be held for discussing the holding of the 1stConference on Health Tourism in ECO Member States.
Furthermore the open ended committees of 1- Joint healthcare insurance collaborations among OIC member states 2- The OIC Medical accreditation will have their own respective meeting on November 25, 2013 to prepare the draft documents of the conference.

The organizer will bear the accommodation cost (3 nights) for three delegates per country including:

1. One high ranking official of the ECO member chamber;
2. One official from the Health Ministry;
3. One private sector operator of the Health Tourism;

The 4th CHTIC aims to explore:

• Developing the Health Insurance collaborations among the OIC member countries
• Provision of OIC accreditation system
• Exploring the visa facilitation schemes for the patients of OIC member countries
• The Health Tourism Information Center (www.hicoic.com) and its Role in rendering services to patients
• The Role of Tour Operators and Hotel Owners in Development of the Health Tourism

We wish to inform you that Embassy of Brazil in Islamabad has informed us that Brazilian and Pakistani Authorities have recently approved the certificate that allows imports of Brazilian Bovine Genetic Material to Pakistan. Brazilian is known for the quality of its cattle and for the variety of breeds. Genetic selection for the improvement of the cattle has been a well established process in Brazil since the beginning of the 20th century, which is now positioned among the top exporters of bovine genetic material.



According to the Brazilian Association of Artificial Insemination (ASBIA) http://www.asbia.org.br/, in 2012, Brazil has exported genetic material from nelore; angus; red angus and nelore mocho breeds, (all beef cattle); and also from Dutch; Jersey and Girolando breeds (all dairy cattle).
