(Bunyan-um-Marsoos—(A Nation Unshaken)
The decades-old hostility between Pakistan and India took a dramatic and tragic turn in the recent conflict commonly referred to as "Bunyan-um-Marsoos" (A Nation Unshaken) — a phrase symbolizing a structure unshaken in all aspects. This war, though not officially declared, was one of the most serious confrontations between the two nuclear powers, marked by aggression, resistance, and the unyielding resolve of the Pakistani nation.
Background and the Pehlgam Incident
The recent war was sparked by a controversial incident in Indian-Occupied Kashmir (IOK), known as the Pehlgam Incident. A small-scale militant attack occurred near the Pehlgam area in IOK. India, without evidence or investigation, hastily blamed Pakistan, using its age-old rhetoric of “cross-border terrorism” to justify retaliation. In a show of sham arrogance and reckless militarism, Indian forces launched an unprovoked strike across the Line of Control, claiming to target so-called “atangwadis” (terrorists). However, these attacks killed innocent Pakistani civilians, including women and children, exposing the brutal reality of Indian aggression.
Escalation and Attack on Noor Khan Airbase
Within three days of the Pehlgam episode, India escalated further by launching missile attacks on the Noor Khan Airbase in Pakistan. Although the damage was limited due to Pakistan’s preparedness, this marked a serious violation of international norms and Pakistan’s sovereignty. The patience of Pakistan had been tested long enough. It was time to respond — and respond Pakistan did, in a befitting and historic manner.
Pakistan’s Befitting Response: Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos

A Turning Point
In the Bunyan-um-Marsoos war narrative, the destruction of India’s pride — the S-400 Triumph air defense system — holds a symbolic and strategic significance.
Among the most significant achievements of Pakistan's armed response was the targeting and destruction of the Indian S-400 Triumph air defense system, stationed near Pathankot and Gurdaspur. The S-400, touted as one of the most advanced air defense systems in the world, was considered the crown jewel of Indian military defense — purchased from Russia at an enormous cost.
Pakistan’s precision missile strike, based on advanced surveillance and electronic warfare, neutralized the radar and command unit of the S-400, rendering it blind and ineffective. This shocking blow not only demoralized the Indian defense structure but also exposed the vulnerability of their over-hyped military hardware.
Indian media, which had long boasted that the S-400 would make Indian airspace "impenetrable", was left stunned. Footage leaked by local villagers near the base showed flames rising from the wreckage of the supposed “invincible shield,” while intercepted communication confirmed the destruction of both launch vehicles and surveillance radars.
This moment shifted the momentum completely in Pakistan’s favor. It symbolized that technology alone does not win wars — it is strategy, precision, and the will of a united nation that truly matter.
The Pakistan Air Force, (The king of the sky) dominated the skies, the Pakistan Army secured its borders, and the Pakistan Navy ensured the safety of its maritime boundaries. The morale of the nation soared as social media flooded with videos of destroyed Indian posts and intercepted Indian communications filled with panic and despair.
International Reaction and Pakistan’s Stance
Throughout the conflict, Pakistan maintained that it did not desire war, but defense of the motherland was non-negotiable. Pakistan presented undeniable evidence of Indian aggression and war crimes at international forums. Despite biased narratives by some Western media, global powers like China, Turkey, and Malaysia stood with Pakistan in its call for peace and justice.
Conclusion: A Nation Unshaken
The war of Bunyan-um-Marsoos was not just a military conflict — it was a test of resilience, unity, and sovereignty. Pakistan emerged wounded but unbroken, targeted but not defeated. The phrase “Bunyan-um-Marsoos” rightly captured the spirit of the nation: like a structure that is hit but never collapses. The people of Pakistan, their forces, and their leadership stood tall, proving that while we seek peace, we will never bow before tyranny.
Let this war be a reminder: peace cannot be achieved through oppression and false pride. It demands justice, dialogue, and respect for the rights of all — especially the oppressed people of Kashmir.
