He was involved in daily routine lab techniques i.e. Molecular Biology (Bacterial and Plant DNA extraction, manipulation, vector construction)Molecular analysis of plants by Polymerase Chain Reaction [PCR], Southern blot analysis [Radioactive & Non Radioactive] etc), Differential Display of mRNA, cDNA synthesis and Northern blot analysis for crops like Rice, Potato, Arabidopsis & To***co. All physiological techniques to screen the plants for drought and salt tolerance. Plant Tissue Culture (tissue, cell and protoplast culture and subsequent plant regeneration, Micro-propagation of plants). Bacterial transformation (Electroporation), Plant transformation. (PEG, Electroporation, Particle gun [Biolistics], Agro bacterium) and somatic hybridization (electro fusion) of plants. He was also work in plant genetics and molecular breeding group to find out the diversity with DNA marker among plants through RAPD, RFLP, AFLP and SSR.
