A Bid-Opening Meeting was held by the Directorate of Literacy & Non-Formal Education (DL&NFE) on 24 August 2026 on the 4th Floor of the PNSC Building, Karachi, regarding the Establishment and Operationalization of 1,420 Non-Formal Education (NFE) Centers in selected districts of Sindh under Phase-III.
A total of 100 NGOs submitted bids through the Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SPPRA) process for further evaluation and selection in accordance with the prescribed procurement procedures. The meeting marked an important step toward the establishment and operationalization of NFE centers to educate Out of School Children (OOSC).

🌱 Tree Plantation Activity at NFE Centre Babul-ul-Ilm 🌱

A tree plantation activity was organized at NFE Centre Babul-ul-Ilm, Village Meeranpur Buriro, with the aim of promoting environmental protection, greenery, and awareness among learners.
On this occasion, the Centre’s Facilitator, Mr. Muzahir Abbas, along with the learners, planted different varieties of plants within the Centre premises. The learners participated enthusiastically and showed great interest in the plantation activity.
The activity aimed to create awareness among learners about the importance of trees, environmental protection, and the need for a clean and healthy environment. The learners also pledged to take care of the newly planted trees and protect them for a greener future.
The Facilitator explained to the learners that trees play a vital role in keeping the environment clean, improving air quality, reducing the impacts of climate change, and providing a healthy environment for future generations.
NFE Centre Babul-ul-Ilm, Meeranpur Buriro is being operated with the support of the Directorate of Literacy & Non-Formal Education, Government of Sindh, in collaboration with the Women Children Welfare Association (WCWA).
This activity demonstrates that Non-Formal Education is not limited to classroom learning. It also promotes social responsibility, environmental awareness, and positive attitudes among learners for a better, greener, and healthier future.
