Some photographs capture what happened. Others make us confront what happened after.

The Too-Young Monsoon Brides, photographed by Isabeau de Rouffignac, turns the lens toward young women whose lives were altered not only by the floods, but by the realities that followed. The work is quiet, intimate and unsettling in the way documentary photography often is at its strongest: it asks us to look beyond the event and towards the people living its consequences.

Alliance Française de Lahore, together with the Embassy of France in Pakistan and NCA, invites you to encounter these stories at Zahoor ul Akhlaq Gallery.

Join us for the opening on 15 September at 3:30 PM.

Can’t make the opening? The exhibition will remain open for visitors until 18 September, from 10 AM to 5 PM daily.

A memorable afternoon of literature, history and exchange, bringing readers together for the launch of a book inspired by the extraordinary journey of Napoleon Bonaparte. We were delighted to welcome Pir Syed Haroon Ali Gilani as Guest of Honor and to share this moment with everyone who joined us.

A meaningful evening at Alliance Française de Lahore as we bid farewell to H.E. Mr. Nicolas Galey, Ambassador of France to Pakistan🇫🇷🇵🇰

Beyond the formal farewell, the evening reflected something much bigger the strength of France–Pakistan relations, cultural diplomacy, French language, education and cultural exchange in Lahore.

We were especially proud to hear the Ambassador acknowledge the work and progress of Alliance Française de Lahore, while also speaking with great affection about Pakistan and the people he has met here.

A memorable moment for our Board, team and community and a reminder of the role culture can play in bringing countries and people closer.
