*Institute of Architects Pakistan: Pakistani Representation at CAA Auckland 2026*
The Institute of Architects Pakistan (IAP) highlights the strong representation of Pakistani architects at the Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA) Auckland 2026 programme in New Zealand.
*Pakistani Leadership and Representation*
- *Ar. Maira Khan, Past Vice President IAP* completed her term as CAA Regional Vice President Asia (2024–2026) and was elected Chair of the CAA Professional Practice Committee.
- *Ar. Umar Saeed, Past Chairman BAE-IAP* represented the Chair of the CAA Education Committee, contributing to dialogue on architectural education.
- *Ar. Saad Mahmood Khan, Past President IAP* served as a member of the CAA Professional Practice Committee.
- *Ar. Yasmeen Lari, Past President IAP*, recipient of the CAA Robert Matthew Lifetime Achievement Award, was invited as a keynote speaker.
- *Prof. Dr. Sajida Haider Vandal, Fellow IAP* served on the CAA Education Committee and as a juror for the CAA Awards.
- *Ar. Kalim A. Siddiqui, Fellow IAP*, Immediate Past President of the CAA, continued in an advisory capacity.
*Pakistani Students & Architects Recognised at the CAA Awards*
Twelve Pakistani Students & Architects received awards and commendations at the CAA Awards, reflecting the quality of architectural education and emerging talent in Pakistan.
*From Kigali 2024 to Auckland 2026*
Pakistan's presence in Auckland builds on achievements at the CAA Symposium and General Assembly in Kigali, Rwanda (August 2024), where Ar. Maira Khan was elected CAA Regional Vice President Asia, Ar. Umar Saeed was appointed Chair of the CAA Education Committee, and Ar. Yasmeen Lari received the CAA Robert Matthew Lifetime Achievement Award. Pakistani students were also recognised with regional and commendation awards, while Prof. Dr. Sajida Haider Vandal served on the awards jury.
Pakistani architects at Auckland 2026 demonstrated the breadth of Pakistan's contribution to the Commonwealth architectural profession, from education and professional practice to emerging talent, awards and institutional leadership.
