Manaqsha Ibrash, a second-semester LLB student at Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, visited Lower Dir (Timergara) as part of the Community and Civic Engagement course under the QAU Street Law Clinic. During her visit, she found that several schools operated by non-profit organizations had been shut down due to funding shortages—leaving many underprivileged students without access to education.
Moved by the situation, Manaqsha took the initiative to gather affected children in her village and began teaching them at her home. Her effort not only reignited the hope of learning among these students but also reinforced the belief that education can and must continue—even in the face of structural setbacks. Her commitment to supporting students during her visits home is a powerful example of community-driven change.
