IMCG, F-7/4, commenced its functioning as a centre of excellence in 1973 with a modest enrollment of 50 students. In 1975 class VIII was senior most class, whereas in 1980 the college got affiliation for SSC classes with the FBISE. This up-gradation was on a constant rise when HSSC classes where introduced in 1984 and later in 1990 graduation in Arts as well as science subjects were started. Howev

Today, IMCG F-7/4 bid a heartfelt farewell to Madam Rukhsana Ahmed from the Mathematics Department on her retirement.

The entire staff from both Morning and Evening Shifts gathered in the college hall for a warm get-together to honor her dedicated services and years of commitment to education. Her professionalism, sincerity, and contribution to the academic growth of students have left a lasting impact on the institution.

As a traditional gesture of IMCG F-7/4, Principal Dr. Saadia Aziz presented her with a cake and bouquet, expressing appreciation and best wishes for her future.

Under the Inter-Collegiate Competitions, the Fine Arts Department of Islamabad Model College for Girls F-7/4 successfully organized a Wall Painting Competition titled “Remembering Civilizations” on 12th February 2026.

Students from various colleges participated in teams of two, creatively depicting renowned civilizations such as the Indus Valley, Roman, Greek, Mesopotamian, and Egyptian civilizations. Each group was allotted a designated 3 × 5 feet area on the back wall of the Home Economics Department, where they transformed ideas into vibrant visual expressions within the given time.

The competition provided a remarkable platform for students to showcase artistic talent, historical understanding, and teamwork. The creativity, color harmony, and conceptual depth displayed by participants were highly appreciated by the judges.
