National Seminar on PPR (پی پی آر) Disease organized by PPR Project, National Veterinary Laboratory, M/o National Food Security & Research in Islamabad.

PPR team under project titled ''National PPR Eradication Program'' visited Rodu Sultan, Jhang to collect the blood from Camels to monitor the PPR Prevalence in Camels.

PPR team under project titled ''National PPR Eradication Program'' visited Livestock Experimental Station (LES), Jabba Mansehra, KPK for blood collection from vaccinated sheep. The purpose was to monitor the Antibody titer of locally produced and imported vaccines.

Project Director-PPR/DG National Veterinary Laboratory Islamabad had invited TAD officers and focal persons of PPR project for a meeting on 29-09-2022. Agenda of the meeting was to discuss the needs of provinces for vaccination campaign and to hand over instruments for running of the project. Honorable . &R Capt. Rtd. Muhammad Asif and Honorable &R Mr. Muhammad Bashir Khetran also honored the event with their presence.

Small ruminants are major contributors of Livestock Economy. Field veterinarians and local officials of district (AJ&K) are striving hard to get sheep and goats vaccinated and minimize the loss of farmers.

Vaccination is the most effective way of prevention from a potential disease outbreak. With the support and cooperation of provincial departments, Team PPR is working rigorously to get animals vaccinated as quickly as possible.
