The Politics and International Relations Students’ Association (PIRSA) is officially opening selection process for its Executive Body for the upcoming 2025–26 tenure. We are seeking visionary, dedicated, and high-achieving students to lead our community and drive impactful discourse.

Eligibility Criteria
To ensure a high standard of leadership, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Academic Standing: Currently enrolled in the 2nd to 6th Semester.

2. Department: Open exclusively to students of the Department of Politics & IR.

3. Institution: Must be a student of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI).

4. Academic Merit: Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.4.

5. Core Values: A demonstrated passion for global affairs, strong communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork.

*PIRSA’s Annual Report Presentation at IIUI !*

On Thursday, October 2, 2025, was a momentous occasion as PIRSA’s representatives presented our annual report to the esteemed University administration, led by Advisor to the President IIUI, Dr. Saleh Bin Abdullah Al Ghufeli, and Students Affairs Advisor, Dr. Ghufran Ahmed.

Our team, comprising Founder, General Secretary along with other Executive Body Members, had the honor of showcasing PIRSA’s achievements and endeavors during the 2024-25 tenure. General Secretary PIRSA Mr. Adeel Tahir provided an insightful overview of our activities, events, and structure, while also highlighting upcoming initiatives.

We’re thrilled to continue serving the student community, providing opportunities, and empowering students to showcase their talents and abilities both on and off campus.

The university administration highly appreciated PIRSA’s great performance throughout our tenure, noting our compliance with university rules, regulations, and code of conduct. A huge thank you to Dr. Saleh Bin Abdullah Al Ghufeli and Dr. Ghufran Ahmed for their support and guidance.

Participation of PIIRSA in the National Declarama Competition at Bahria University
Today, a National Level Declarama Competition was organized at Bahria University, in which around 26 universities and several other academic institutions participated. The total number of speakers was approximately 60.

Two teams from the Politics and International Relations Students Association (PIIRSA) took part in the event, representing the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI). The competition was intellectually rich and full of engaging debates.
PIIRSA was represented by three speakers: Syed Shafeh Shafi Gilani, Yahya Iftikhar, and Obaid ur Rehman. All three delivered impressive speeches, showcasing their intellectual capabilities and passion for discourse.

Obaid ur Rehman, a second-semester student of International Relations, made the department proud by securing 7th position among nearly 60 speakers. His remarkable performance brought honor to PIIRSA and the Department of Politics and International Relations, IIUI.

Insha’Allah, PIIRSA members will continue to excel in every competition and prove themselves as top contenders in the academic and debating arenas.
