The programme supports collaborative projects between the UK and Pakistan, offering grants of up to £15,000. CTC is designed to support creative practitioners, cultural professionals, artists, organisations, festivals, biennials, hubs and collectives, with projects spanning a broad range of themes and art forms. The programme supports meaningful partnerships, cross-cultural exchange and long-term collaboration between the UK and participating countries. COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) welcomed a high-level delegation of 16 professors and senior academicians from leading universities of Bangladesh under the Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor, facilitated by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan.

The visit aimed to strengthen academic cooperation, knowledge exchange, and people-to-people connectivity between Pakistan and Bangladesh. The delegation was briefed on CUI's advancements in AI-driven education, paperless administration, sustainability initiatives, and research commercialization.

COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) welcomed a distinguished delegation of 16 Vice Chancellors, Deans, Professors, and senior academicians from leading universities of Bangladesh at its Islamabad Campus under the Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor, facilitated by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan.

Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar (T.I.) highlighted CUI’s advancements in AI-based adaptive learning systems, paperless administration, sustainability initiatives, biomedical research, and technology commercialization, while also offering CUI’s expertise in AI and ICTs to support the enhancement of learning management systems in Bangladeshi universities.

The visit provided a valuable platform for discussions on joint research, innovation, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and future academic collaborations, reflecting the shared commitment of Pakistan and Bangladesh to strengthening higher education partnerships and people-to-people connectivity.

The delegation also toured the Junaid Zaidi Central Library and other academic facilities at the Islamabad Campus.

🌍 Strengthening Internationalization Across Campuses

On June 17, 2026, the International Office, Comsats University Islamabad, conducted a productive visit to the COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus along with a group of international students as part of ongoing efforts to enhance international student engagement and strengthen inter-campus coordination.

During the visit, meetings were held with the Director Campus, MoU Focal Persons, Admissions Staff, and Graduation Evaluation Team to discuss ways to improve support mechanisms for international students, streamline admission and graduation processes, and enhance coordination for international collaborations and mobility initiatives.

The delegation also had the opportunity to interact with international students enrolled at the Abbottabad Campus, gaining valuable insights into their academic experiences, challenges, and recommendations for further improving student services.

The visit reflects CUI's continued commitment to fostering a globally connected academic environment and ensuring a positive experience for international students across all campuses.

🌍 OIC-COMSTECH Delegation from Palestine and Somalia Visits COMSATS University Islamabad

Comsats University Islamabad had the privilege of hosting a high-level OIC-COMSTECH delegation from Palestine and Somalia to explore opportunities for academic, scientific, and technological collaboration.

The delegation, comprising H.E. Ms. Huda Sadi Fandi Alwahidi, Deputy Minister of Telecommunications and Digital Economy, Palestine, and Mr. Zakarie Sheikh Ismail, Digital Infrastructure Specialist, Ministry of Communication and Technology, Somalia, was accompanied by Dr. Murtaza Noor, Director COMSTECH, Mr. Omar Jallow, Senior Technical Manager, and Ms. Gul Rukh, Programme Officer.

The delegation was welcomed by Ms. Muniba Nasir, Head International Office, followed by a campus tour, a call on Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar, Rector, COMSATS University Islamabad, and a meeting chaired by Prof. Dr. Sohail Asghar, Campus In-charge, CUI.

During the meeting, Ms. Muniba Nasir presented the University's growth, achievements, and international outlook. Discussions focused on startup ecosystem development, ERP and Cyber Security capacity-building programs, curriculum development, Outcome-Based Education (OBE) implementation, and access to digital learning resources.

The visit concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening institutional linkages, fostering knowledge exchange, and exploring future collaboration opportunities for the mutual benefit of participating institutions.

COMSATS University Islamabad proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of Mr. Muhammad Rashid Mukhtar, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, and Huawei ICT Academy Administrator, CUI Islamabad Campus, who has brought international recognition to Pakistan at the Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026 Global Final held in Shenzhen, China.
Mr. Rashid Mukhtar achieved a historic double distinction by winning the Grand Prize in the Huawei ICT Teaching Competition and receiving the prestigious Most Valuable Instructor (MVI) Award, one of Huawei’s highest global honors for excellence in ICT education and mentorship.

🌟 Key Highlights:
✅ Winner of the Grand Prize – the only Grand Prize secured by Pakistan at the Global Final.
✅ Recipient of the Most Valuable Instructor Award 2026.
✅ Among only 16 instructors worldwide honored with the MVI Award.
