The Youth Ki URAAN – Overseas Pakistanis Summer Scholars Programme 2026 is now open for Pakistani-origin students currently studying at universities abroad, as well as foreign national students from institutions worldwide. This is a rare opportunity to work at the heart of governance with the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives and contribute to Pakistan’s development journey.
Following 2,300+ applications from 45 countries in 2025, the programme returns in 2026, bigger, broader, and more impactful.
Choose from a 6-week or an 8-week track, work on real projects in policy, governance, innovation, and national development, and gain first-hand exposure to Pakistan’s leading public sector institutions.

Day 3 of Uraan Pakistan National Debates 2025 marked the grand wrap-up, and what a journey it’s been!
After three days of back-to-back sessions, intense motions, and sleepless prep hours, YPDC-UoK proudly concludes its participation with the University of Karachi ranking 14th among 50 national universities across Pakistan. A moment of pride for every member who spoke, supported, and stood tall.
Uraan 2025 may have ended, but this experience was about growth, courage, and the momentum we built along is just taking flight!

Day 2 was nothing short of electric!
YPDC-UoK members continued to take the stage with passion and purpose, turning every argument into an art. Between heated motions, shared notes, and moments of pure adrenaline, the team embodied what it means to learn, grow, and represent with pride.

Day one of the Uraan Pakistan National Debates 2025 is underway in Islamabad, featuring bright and talented participants from over 130 universities across 45 different cities . The event is part of the ongoing “Youth’s Flight” campaign and aims to engage students in informed and policy-oriented discussions centered on Pakistan’s key developmental priorities. Federal Minister for Planning, Professor has described the event as a significant investment in the country’s future leadership.
