Question:

Some children have joined us after studying the Holy Qur’an elsewhere. They have completed 25 or 27 Paras, but their Manzil is weak. What should be done in such a case? Should they complete the Qur’an or not?

Answer:

In this situation, the best and most balanced approach is to continue both the regular lesson (Sabq) and Manzil side by side, following the normal teaching sequence.
If the lesson is stopped and the child is asked to focus only on memorizing Manzil, it may cause difficulty and stress for both the child and the parents. In some cases, parents may even consider moving the child to another institute.
Similarly, telling children to “just complete the Qur’an quickly and memorize Manzil later” is also not advisable, as this often leads to complete negligence of Manzil.
Therefore, the most effective method is to:
Continue listening to Manzil regularly
Keep the daily lesson ongoing
By the time the Qur’an is completed, at least ten Paras of Manzil usually become strong. After completing the Qur’an, the remaining portions can be strengthened through revision (Daur) and repetition, which becomes easier for the child.
This approach not only makes memorization easier but also helps maintain a strong and lasting connection with the Holy Qur’an.
This method of teaching is based on wisdom, balance, and experience.

A Powerful Reminder from the Imam of Masjid al-Haram

Prices are rising,
Modesty is disappearing,
Mosques are empty,
And Allah’s commands are being openly disobeyed.

Zina is made lawful,
Nikah is made difficult,
Muslim lands are occupied,
The poor sleep under open skies,
And most signs of the Hour have already appeared.

So hold firmly to repentance.

⚠️ Beware of the “Bag with Holes” ⚠️
The bag in which we collect our good deeds.

• You make perfect wudu but waste water — a bag with holes.
• You give charity, then humiliate the poor — a bag with holes.
• You pray at night and fast by day but cut family ties — a bag with holes.
• You fast yet abuse others with bad words — a bag with holes.
• You cover yourself but spread temptation — a bag with holes.
• You honor guests but backbite them later — a bag with holes.

Protect your good deeds.
You collect them with effort, yet destroy them so easily.

Be aware: The trade with Allah is priceless.

You avoid Hajj due to hardship,
Yet endure greater hardship for tourism.
You refuse a sacrificial animal because it’s expensive,
Yet buy the latest phone for status.

You waste hours in useless talk,
But don’t recite even ten verses of the Qur’an.

You feel shy sharing the Qur’an,
But not shy sharing songs and entertainment.

Allah is watching you.

May Allah grant us guidance, sincerity, and the ability to act upon what we know.
