🎓 Successfully Completed 3-Day HEC National Faculty Development Training on AI Literacy

I am pleased to share that I have successfully completed the 3-Day Training Program on “AI Literacy for Faculty Members – Building AI-Ready Institutions”, organized by the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad, held from September 02–04, 2026.

The training provided valuable insights into the effective, responsible, and innovative use of Artificial Intelligence in higher education, particularly in teaching, learning, research, assessment, and institutional development.

I am deeply grateful to the President, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, and the Vice President (Academics), IIUI, Prof. Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Sheikh, for their continued support and encouragement for faculty professional development.

I would also like to extend my special appreciation and gratitude to the senior faculty members and distinguished participants from different universities across Pakistan. Their diverse academic experiences, thoughtful discussions, and valuable interactions made this training particularly enriching and memorable.

My sincere thanks to Dr. Amna Malik, Managing Director, National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), HEC, for her leadership and for providing such an excellent platform for faculty capacity building.

Today marks a proud and defining moment for the engineering community of Pakistan.
After years of dedicated efforts by The Institution of Engineers Pakistan (IEP) and the unwavering commitment of its leadership, the Young Engineers Fellowship Program has officially been launched under the Prime Minister’s Youth Initiative.
This transformative program will bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world engineering practice by equipping young graduate engineers with hands-on experience on national development projects, along with structured mentorship and meaningful professional growth opportunities.
Special recognition to Engr. Prof. Ahsan Iqbal for his vision and continued support, and sincere appreciation to Engr. Sohail Bashir, President IEP, Engr. Amir Zamir, Secretary General IEP, and the Central Council Members of IEP for their leadership, dedication, and relentless efforts in turning this long-awaited initiative into reality.
It is truly an honor that the Prime Minister of Pakistan is launching this landmark fellowship — a powerful step toward empowering our youth and strengthening Pakistan’s engineering future.

News Alert for Pre-Medical Students!

Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has allowed Pre-Medical students to apply in all Engineering Programs. They are now eligible to apply for all the engineering programs i.e. BS (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering).

Last date: July 29, 2024
