On February 26, 2025, a heartfelt farewell ceremony was organized for an esteemed group of faculty members and officers, Prof. Dr. Naeem Iqbal (Dean Research), Dr. Rashid Mehmood (Director SLPS), Mr. Saif-ur-Rehman (Sr. Accounts Officer), and Mr. Waqas (Accounts Branch), who have been pillars of excellence and dedication at PIEAS. At the special request of the organizers, Dr. Inam-ur-Rehman also attended the ceremony, adding to the significance of the occasion. The gathering was filled with emotions, as colleagues came together to express their gratitude, share fond memories, and celebrate the remarkable contributions of those bidding farewell.

Speakers highlighted not only the professional excellence of the departing members but also their invaluable mentorship, leadership, and the positive impact they had on institutional culture. In response, the departing members expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support, collaboration, and cherished experiences they had at PIEAS. Many reflected on their journey with a sense of pride, reminiscing about the strong bonds and meaningful moments they had shared.

Addressing the gathering, the Rector of PIEAS extended his deep appreciation for the wisdom, expertise, and unwavering commitment of the departing colleagues. Acknowledging the difficulty of parting ways, he conveyed his best wishes, hoping their future endeavors would be filled with success and fulfillment. The event concluded with Dr. Inam-ur-Rehman and the Rector presenting gifts and shields as tokens of appreciation and recognition for their outstanding service.

Newly renovated PIEAS auditorium has now been renamed to INAM IR REHMAN AUDITORIUM, in the honour of scientist emeritus Prof. Dr. Inam-ur-Rehman.
