Two-day Workshop:
Title: “Building Bridges Through Socio-Religious
Conformity: A Journey to Peace”
Date: August 27-28, 2019 (Tuesday &
Wednesday)
Venue: Faculty of Social Sciences
Air University, Islamabad.
Air University has arranged a series of sessions apart from one international conference on radicalization which focused on the role of religion, identity, culture, education and media in amelioration of the menace that has plagued our land. This workshop is the continuity of the same spirit in order to strengthen the religious harmony and social integrity in our country.
The topic of the workshop is of profound interest for academia particularly and for the people in general. It is a fact that we have been victim of radicalization, extremism, and violent attitudes and our society has been experiencing its fatal consequences. Besides the human level, our economy has suffered profound damage. There is an urgent need to take a step for national cohesion by promoting a culture of dialogue for social, cultural, religious and ethnic disagreements. Such steps will be helpful to overcome these challenges.
*Update: Faculty of Universities, Colleges, Religious Seminaries (delegation of all five Wafaaqs) and Minorities confirmed their participation. A true demonstration of multiculturalism at Air University.
