Today, we did not simply walk through the university, we walked in solidarity with every woman who has ever been mocked, silenced, harassed, or ridiculed for speaking up against injustice.
From the Central Library to the School of Sociology, this peaceful walk stood as a collective message of respect, empathy, and resistance against the online humiliation and harassment faced by women who raise their voices for what is right.
A recent incident once again reminded us how quickly society turns a woman’s courage into memes, jokes, and hate. Through our presence, our posters, and our unity today, we sent a clear message:
A woman raising her voice is not something to be laughed at; it is something to be respected.
This walk was never about one individual alone. It represented every woman who is questioned for speaking, judged for being courageous, and targeted for standing for justice and dignity.
We refuse to normalize harassment disguised as humor.
We stand for dignity, respect, empathy, and safe spaces for women; both online and offline.
