Thank you Governor John Carney for your leadership and being a leader for all Delawareans. This was a humble moment for everyone in the Muslim community who had made Delaware their home. It was a moment when they all felt that they have been acknowledged and honored for their hard work in making Delaware its best.

AlhamduLillah First State Islamic Foundation recently completed the Phase 1 property purchase project for Tarbiyah School and Masjid Isa Ibn-e-Maryam. Today the community gathered together to give thanks to Allah for His mercy and to celebrate community unity to bring this strategic project to a fruition - AlhamduLillah. Several elected officials including County Executive Candidate Matt Meyer also joined in the celebration.

Congressman John Carney joined Delaware's Muslim Community for an Iftar Dinner at Tarbiyah School and Masjid Isa Ibn-e-Maryam. He also joined together for Maghrib prayer and enjoyed an exquisite Moroccan Iftar Dinner.
Congressman Carney met with all individuals and families by walking around and going to every table and saying Salam to them. Community members expressed their appreciation for his presence at Iftar. Many thanks to the Moroccan families who prepared delicious food diligently.
