It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Fareed (Retired Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, QAU) early this morning.

May Almighty Allah forgive the departed soul, shower His mercy and blessings upon him, and grant patience and strength to the bereaved family. The details of the Namaz-e-Janaza will be announced later.
Dr. Fareed was a man of great sincerity, simplicity, and humility. May Allah grant him the highest ranks in Jannah. Ameen.

Going to encourage my students to use AI as much as possible : ChatGPT , Google COLAB for Python/R coding, github copilot andother tools. Purpose is to equip students to use AI as their tutor, for me as Assitant and boosting productivity without compromise on learning objectives of the course . Data are no more going to be dealth with Excel and spreadsheet as data has forms of images, audio, video, massive text and a lot more.

Part 2 . Next one will be doing it with real data : forecasting remittances, forecasting daily sales data using Prophet model of facebook , exponential smoothing, Holt and Holt winter smoothing and then ARIMA models.

If anyone wants to learn R for data analysis, one can start by using these sources. Each video has its complete code and data where required. It will not be for those who want to verify statistical results for simulation purpose and its also not for those who want to learn R. Its not learning R but learning R for our purpose at hand. A guy in stat is really good at R Shinny.

Someone borrowed Mathematical Statistics with Applications by Mendenhall (original hard copy DRSM library book) two decades back, so please return. Most probably it was time around Osam Chohan batch (plus minus one batch :-) ). I will be grateful
