A highly informative and engaging Career Counseling Session was organized at Islamabad Model College for Boys, Sihala, Islamabad (IMCB Sihala) by the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) in collaboration with EduVision Career Counseling Academy.

Miss Zahra, an experienced career counselor from Eduvision, delivered an interactive and insightful lecture for Intermediate students on career selection, self-awareness, interests, abilities, values and aptitude.

She guided students on how to identify their strengths and interests and choose a career path that best matches their potential and aspirations.

The session was attended by students and faculty members and proved to be a highly fruitful and enlightening experience.

🏆 فخرِ IMCB سِیَہالہ — شاندار کامیابی

اسلام آباد ماڈل کالج فار بوائز سِیَہالہ کے قابلِ فخر استاد جناب پروفیسر حضرت رحمان نے 2 کلومیٹر اوپن ریس میں پہلی پوزیشن حاصل کرکے کالج کا نام روشن کر دیا۔

یہ ریس آرکیالوجیکل ڈیپارٹمنٹ اسلام آباد اور گکھڑ فیملی کے مشترکہ تعاون سے منعقد کی گئی، جس میں مختلف عمر کی کیٹیگریز میں شرکاء نے حصہ لیا۔

پروفیسر حضرت رحمان نے کیٹیگری B میں 2 کلومیٹر کا فاصلہ شاندار کارکردگی کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے 5 منٹ 18 سیکنڈ کے ریکارڈ وقت میں مکمل کیا اور پہلی پوزیشن حاصل کی۔ انہیں شیلڈ کے علاوہ 25,000 روپے نقد انعام بھی دیا گیا۔

یہ شاندار کامیابی IMCB سِیَہالہ کے لیے باعثِ فخر ہے۔

🗺️ Map Reading: A Practical Life Skill | IMCB Sihala

Today, an engaging and highly informative Map Reading Activity was conducted at IMC. Sihala, providing students and teachers with an opportunity to connect geographical concepts with practical life skills.

The session was led by Professor Abbas Haider, Lecturer in Geography, who delivered a detailed, interactive and thought-provoking lecture on the fundamentals of map reading. He explained the essential elements and requisites required for accurately understanding and interpreting a map, including directions, map title, latitude, longitude, the Equator, geographical coordinates, symbols, scale and other important features.

Professor Abbas Haider particularly emphasized that map reading is not merely an academic skill but an important life skill. He explained how the ability to understand directions and geographical information can prove extremely useful when a person is travelling or finds themselves in an unfamiliar place without clear guidance.

The activity was made especially meaningful through the active participation of both students and teachers. The interactive nature of the session encouraged questions, discussion and practical understanding, making the lecture fruitful for everyone present.

The activity was also graced by the presence of Professor Zahoor Ahmed, Principal, IMCB Sihala, who shared his valuable practical experiences with the participants. He connected everyday observations such as changes in seasons, variations in time, geographical location and climate change with the concepts discussed during the map-reading session. His practical reflections helped students understand how geography is closely connected with our daily lives and the world around us.

The session successfully transformed map reading from a textbook concept into a practical, useful and engaging learning experience. It highlighted the importance of experiential learning and encouraged students to observe, interpret and understand their geographical surroundings.

79th independence day of Pakistan at IMCB Sihala

*🇵🇰 آئی ایم سی بی سہالہ میں 79واں یوم آزادی جوش و خروش سے منایا گیا 🇵🇰*

آئی ایم سی بی سہالہ میں پاکستان کا 79واں یوم آزادی بڑے جوش و جذبے سے منایا گیا۔

کالج کے احاطے میں پرچم کشائی کی تقریب منعقد کی گئی۔ پرچم کشائی کے بعد اساتذہ نے بلند آواز سے قومی ترانہ پڑھا۔

اس تقریب میں وائس پرنسپل پروفیسر فرحان اعظم صاحب (انتظامی امور)، وائس پرنسپل پروفیسر مقصود اقبال ناصر صاحب (تعلیمی امور) سمیت تمام تدریسی اور غیر تدریسی عملے نے شرکت کی۔

قومی پرچم فخر کے ساتھ لہرایا گیا، جس کے بعد پاکستان کی سلامتی، یکجہتی، ترقی، خوشحالی اور بقا کے لیے خصوصی دعائیں کی گئیں۔

اس مبارک موقع پر فیکلٹی ممبران نے اپنے پیارے وطن کی 79ویں سالگرہ کے موقع پر خوبصورت کیک بھی کاٹا۔ کالج کے تمام ممبران نے بھرپور حب الوطنی کے جذبے کے ساتھ شرکت کی۔
