Industry-Academia Collaboration: RISE Hosts PTA Delegation

On 20th August 2026, Riphah Institute of Systems Engineering (RISE), G-7, Islamabad had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Waleed Ahmed - Lead Auditor (AD, Cybersecurity) and Mr. Adnan Ur Rehman from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to discuss the proposed draft of the PTA CTDISR Framework in light of the revised CTDISR v2 Regulations 2025.

The session was hosted by Mr. Arslan Ali Khan, Cybersecurity Consultant and attended by:

🔹 Dr. NAVEED IKRAM Director RISE
🔹 Mr. Obaid ur Rehman, Manager Security and Compliance
🔹 Ms. Komal Batool, Senior Lecturer RISE Department

The RISE team provided valuable feedback on the upcoming CTDISR framework, and both sides shared insights and findings from previous audit visits. The discussion was highly productive, culminating in an agreement to continue this collaboration going forward.

We look forward to building on this partnership and contributing to the advancement of Pakistan's cybersecurity and telecom regulatory landscape.
