As part of their PBL in English, through the See-Think-Wonder Routine, our class 1 learners explored daily routines and emotions. Using picture cards for everyday items and emotion paddles like happy and bored, they shared what they see, think and wonder. This thoughtful activity helped them connect feelings with routines and turn their ideas into descriptive writing, enhancing both vocabulary and communication skills.

Morning Assembly of 2 Purple focused on two important goals: SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).

Students presented a role play about Cinderella and her science project. When she needed support for her project, the school community came together and formed a help club to help her get the science exhibition pass and the materials she needed.

The role play conveyed a beautiful message of empathy, kindness, and community support, reflecting the true spirit of SDG 1 and SDG 11.

The assembly also included special lines on both SDGs and a song about caring for our Earth.

📚 Introduction to our New Reader - "Ella's Dragon" 🐉

Our Grade 2 learners started their journey with their new English reader, "Ella's Dragon." Students were introduced to Ella and her amazing self-made robotic dragon, followed by class discussion around themes of imagination and creativity. Later, they were given the opportunity to dive into the world of Ella while reading it individually.

A Phonics Reading Star Programme training session was recently conducted in collaboration with Ransom Publishing. The session was led by Mr. Stephen Rickard, Creative Director at Ransom Publishing, and focused on strengthening teachers’ understanding and implementation of the programme across Early Years and Lower Primary.
The training enhanced teachers’ knowledge of phonics, diagnostic application, reading records, learner misconceptions, and effective literacy practices, supporting our ongoing commitment to developing confident and capable young readers. 🌟📖

It was a pleasure to host our Nursery and Kindergarten parents for an insightful session on English Phonics and Urdu Sautiyat.
The session offered parents a glimpse into our early-years language curriculum, along with engaging, hands-on activities inspired by real classroom practices. Through these experiences, parents explored how phonics and Urdu Sautiyat support sound recognition, vocabulary, pronunciation, and early reading skills in our young learners.
