Some pieces of writing by my students put me on cloud nine and swell my heart with pride and joy. This is one of those.

Creativity should be showcased any time it is possible. Creative displays not only encourage the particular student or students whose work is put up but motivate other students to try new things in their work while providing other educators the opportunity to share creative ideas with one another. 

My students enjoy sharing their creative ideas and creations with others because it gives them an opportunity to share their knowledge, skills, and interests while showing off what’s possible when creativity is embraced. It gives them a sense of ownership and pride as well.

Creativity needs to be fostered in a way that allows students the freedom to explore their ideas without fear of being judged or ridiculed. Encourage them to take risks with new tasks because by doing so, they will show you what’s possible when applied creatively.

A Kindness Chart for book characters are typically pretty easy for students to understand and make real-life connections to at times and to understand the characters better. While discussing characters, Kindness and its importance is a great place to start off when you want to talk about different character traits. Discuss with your students about how we can show kindness to others in different ways. Talk about small acts that show kindness such as saying "hello" to someone, saying "Thank you" to someone who works around the school, helping a friend or letting someone go before you in a queue etc.
