We are proud to introduce the Beaconhouse Early Years Enhanced Learning Environment at a large number of schools in the Beaconhouse Northern Region. The key objective of this program is to use technology to enhance the delivery of the early years curriculum. As a fundamental part of the program, each classroom is equipped with Tablet PC’s and Multimedia Projectors. The schools are also equipped wi
th Digital Cameras, Scanners, Printers, Interactive White boards, and a host of other technology to help children explore and learn in more meaningful ways than before. Technology has allowed us to give children the opportunity to explore, learn, and experiment in ways that were never possible before. They can now use specialized software to compose their own music, create custom animations, and capture digital images of the world around them to create vibrant multi media photo stories. Basic concepts such as mathematics, creative development, and Communication Language and literacy, are much easier to develop with the versatility provided using specialized software. The software provides immediate feedback to students and gives them assistance in acquiring these key concepts in a dynamic and exciting way. All classrooms are also air conditioned to provide a more comfortable learning environment to students. The Beaconhouse Academics team has specially selected software that will help enhance the learning experience of students and allow them to acquire basic concepts much more quickly than before. We invite you to join us in exploring this new world of early years education at Beaconhouse. KG students learned a range of compound words using a blend of educational and non-educational technology resources. Teachers explained the concept well through white board & flashcards followed by a song. Later students used flashcards to make compound words. An online game was used to further reinforce the concept. All activities planned for the lesson brought fun in students' learning.

Use of directional vocabulary and following the directions is made easy and interesting through incorporation of age appropriate educational technology. In this video, students can be seen learning directions using a bee-bot which is the most appropriate tool for the purpose. The interactive promethean flipchart made it more interesting for children to learn and revise directions through playful experience.

With educational technology involved, the classroom can be a much happier place!. These pre nursery students can be seen revising the vocabulary of letter ‘s’ and relating them to its sound through a variety of educational and non-educational technology resources. Tablets in kitchen corner provided them an opportunity to virtually experience making soup, salad and sandwich thus also improved their listening and speaking skills. A sand paper and sand tray followed by tracing letter ‘s’ using app on tablet was a fruitful strategy by the teacher to make sure that students learn to write letter ‘s’ following correct directions.
