PAKTURK International Schools and Colleges have been striving hard to provide superior education to Pakistani youth since 1995. Along with other activities PAKTURK pays special consideration to the subjects which are measured to be boring and tedious. One of such subjects is Mathematics.

In order to provoke interest among the students, PAKTURK International Schools and Colleges have been arranging Inter Schools Mathematics Olympiad (ISMO) for the last 13 years. Educationists have the point of view that there are not enough chances for our student to exhibit their talent to the world. There is an immense need of such programs for our brilliant youth. This unique competition provides a great chance for the students of class 5, 6, 7 and 8 to show their incredible potential and win handsome prizes. This competition was open for the students of Government Schools as well as for private schools.

14th edition of much awaited annual event National ISMO (Inter Schools Mathematics Olympiad) observed the participation of around 14000 students. Show-case event of PakTurk was held on November 24th, 2018, in 32 centers, located in 30 cities of Pakistan simultaneously where the same exam papers were held at same time in these venues. The participants were the students of grade 5th to 8th, both from public as well as private institutions, who competed in this unique Olympiad which is aimed at imparting interest in Mathematics education.

Attractive cash prizes in addition to plaques and certificates will be kept for the national position holders. 1st position holders from each 5, 6, 7 and 8 class students will get a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/- each. 2nd position holders from each 5, 6, 7 and 8 class students will get a cash prize of Rs. 40,000/- each. 3rd position holders from each 5, 6, 7 and 8 class students will get a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/- each. Moreover, top 15 position holders in each region will also get attractive prizes. The total cash money award will be approximately Rs. 3 Million. It is worth mentioning here that top position holder of class 8 category will be awarded with the title of “Al-Khwarizmi of Pakistan” which will remain with that student for the period of one year.

Students, teachers, head of educational institutes, educationists and parents also visited the schools. Every year increasing number of the participating students showed the credibility and transparency of the event. The guests also appreciated the excellent arrangements for the students and for the visitors as well.

Result of the competition will be announced on 11th December 2018 through website and an attractive prize distribution ceremony will be held after that.

The 14th edition of the country’s largest National Inter School Maths Olympiad was conducted successfully at PakTurk H-8 Girls campus Islamabad on Saturday, 24.11.2018.
Almost 450 students from different schools of Islamabad participated in 14th Inter School Math Olympiad (ISMO) with high spirit at H-8 Girls Campus. The total no of ISMO participants all over Pakistan was around 13,800.
