SINES, NUST had the pleasure of hosting students from various degree programs of SEECS, NUST.

During the visit, students were introduced to SINES interdisciplinary research ecosystem, state-of-the-art facilities, and ongoing research activities. They were also briefed on internship opportunities, research engagement, and avenues for interdisciplinary collaboration at SINES.

The visit provided students with valuable exposure to SINES’ diverse research environment and opportunities to broaden their academic and professional experience beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries.

🎓 SINES Delivers 3-Week Corporate Training on Systems Engineering Fundamentals

The School of Interdisciplinary Engineering and Sciences (SINES), NUST, successfully delivered a three-week Systems Engineering Fundamentals training programme in collaboration with IEDC-NUST.

Led by:
🔹 Dr. Absaar Ul Jabbar
🔹 Dr. Muhammad Sadiq
🔹 Dr. Umer Asgher

The 15-day programme covered key areas including Systems Engineering, Requirements Engineering, System Development Lifecycle, Modelling & Simulation, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, MCDA, MBSE, Design of Experiments, Statistical Analysis, and Systems Integration.

Participants gained practical skills in requirements analysis, decision-making, MBSE tools, and systems integration.

SINES congratulates all participants and thanks IEDC-NUST for the collaboration.

Türkiye’s TİKA Development Ambassadors Visit SINES NUST

As part of the 2026 TİKA Development Ambassadors Program, a diverse delegation of university students from Türkiye including students from Germany, and Spain as well visited the NUST School of Interdisciplinary Engineering & Sciences (SINES) on 26 August 2026.

Prof. Dr. Zartasha Mustansar welcomed the international students and introduced them to the NUST Makers Space and Anadolu Creative Lab, highlighting their role in fostering interdisciplinary innovation through a “learning by doing” approach.

The students also received a real time introduction to FDM-based 3D printing for rapid prototyping, with Prof. Zartasha Mustansar demonstrating how digital designs can be transformed into physical prototypes connecting creativity, engineering, and real-world problem-solving.

The visit to the TİKA-supported Makers Lab provided an engaging platform for cross-cultural exchange while showcasing NUST SINES’s commitment to innovation, experiential learning, and technology-driven education.

The visit also highlighted TİKA’s continued support for innovation and experiential learning at NUST. Through sustained collaboration and support, TİKA has contributed to creating spaces where students can explore emerging technologies, develop practical skills, and turn ideas into tangible solutions.

The three-day “Beauty of the Russian Word: Russian Language Festival in Pakistan” was held in Islamabad from 14–16 September 2026, bringing together students, academics, and cultural representatives to explore the richness of the Russian language, literature, arts, cinema, and cultural heritage.
Organized in collaboration with Ural State Pedagogical University (USPU), Yekaterinburg, the festival featured lectures, interactive language and cultural activities, literary and artistic sessions, cinema discussions, and opportunities for intercultural dialogue.
The festival concluded with a closing ceremony attended by Principal JSPPL, Dr. Hassan Jalil Shah, celebrating the successful completion of this meaningful academic and cultural initiative aimed at strengthening educational and people-to-people connections between Pakistan and Russia.

This project focuses on the development and validation of a comprehensive theoretical and CFD based performance model of a scramjet engine operating in hypersonic flight regime.
RA1 requirements:
Strong understanding of aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and scramjet design principles.
Expertise in CFD of combustion using ANSYS Fluent or equivalent software.
RA2 requirements:
Expertise in CFD simulations using ANSYS Fluent or equivalent software.
Ability to develop integrated computational workflows for design exploration and visualization.

SINES warmly welcomed its new undergraduate and postgraduate students during the Orientation Program held from 2–4 September 2026.
The three-day orientation included registration activities, welcome sessions, introduction to SINES faculty and facilities, academic guidance, student support information, interaction with parents, and campus engagement activities. The program provided new students with an opportunity to become familiar with the academic environment, institutional policies, available facilities, and student life at NUST.
