قائداعظم یونیورسٹی، اسلام آباد میں منعقدہ سابق طلباء کے اجلاس میں مرحوم رانا شیر دل کے لیے خصوصی دعا کی گئی، جو لاہور میں انتقال کر گئے تھے۔ شرکاء نے ان کی خدمات کو خراج تحسین پیش کیا

اجلاس میں فیصلہ کیا گیا کہ نئے سال 2025 میں ایک جامع اسکالرشپ مہم کا آغاز کیا جائے گا۔ اس مقصد کے لیے سینئر قائدیئنز پر مشتمل ایک دس رکنی خصوصی کمیٹی تشکیل دی گئی ہے جو اس اقدام کی نگرانی کرے گی تاکہ یونیورسٹی کے داخل شدہ اور نئے طلباء کی معاونت کی جا سکے۔

شرکاء نے فاؤنڈرز گروپ کی دہائیوں پر محیط خدمات کو سراہا اور قائدیئن کمیونٹی کی فلاح و بہبود پر مبنی مستقبل کے منصوبوں کے لیے اپنی مسلسل حمایت کا عزم ظاہر کیا۔ شرکاء نے متفقہ طور پر وفاقی حکومت سے مطالبہ کیا کہ قائداعظم یونیورسٹی کو درپیش مالی چیلنجز کے حل کے لیے فوری طور پر ایک خصوصی مالیاتی پیکج کا اعلان کیا جائے۔

*OBITUARY*: Father of Saad Bin Saad, MBA, QAU 1999 - DIB Bank, has passed away. His Namaz e Jannazah will be offered today after Namaz e Maghrib at Masjid located at DHA Phase 5, Block C, Lahore. May Allah bless the soul with Jannat ul Firdous and the family with Sabar e Jameel. Aameen.

During the recent meet-up in Karachi, Quaidians(alumni of Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad) offered heartfelt condolences and dua for the departed souls of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam Syed and Syed Iqbal Hussain, the husband of Sheher Bano. They paid tribute to Prof. Dr. Aslam Syed for his invaluable contributions in higher education sector.

In a notable development, President of Pakistan and Chairman of COMSTECH, H.E. Asif Ali Zardari, has reappointed Prof Dr M Iqbal Choudhary as the Coordinator General of COMSTECH for a second four-year term. Prof Choudhary has been leading since April 2020, initiating numerous projects focused on strengthening the scientific and capabilities of OIC (Organisation of Islamic Cooperation) member states.
The announcement has been met with widespread approval from diplomats of OIC member states, leaders, and scientific communities who view Prof Choudhary’s reappointment as an to continue the progress he has catalyzed. His efforts have significantly bolstered socio-economic development initiatives and fostered regional collaborations, enhancing capacity-building efforts across OIC countries.
COMSTECH, a ministerial committee of the established during the Third Islamic Summit in Makkah in 1981, serves as the OIC’s primary scientific and technological body, uniting all member states through their science and technology ministers. With holding the chair, COMSTECH operates under the leadership of the President of Pakistan, with the Prime Minister as co-chair, and the Coordinator General as the Chief Executive.
Prof Dr M Iqbal Choudhary is a distinguished national meritorious professor and one of Pakistan’s most celebrated scientists, particularly recognized for his contributions to and natural product . He has authored and edited 76 books, primarily published in the United States and Europe, and has contributed 1,175 research papers to international journals.
Internationally, Prof Choudhary’s influence is substantial. Recently, China’s Hunan University of Medicine honored him by naming a new building after him in recognition of his in establishing Sino-Pak research centers, which have driven collaborative research between Chinese and scientists.

A pivotal discussion titled “Character Mastery: The Key to Achieving Sustainable Success” was held at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad, drawing senior from across the country.
The event was jointly organized by the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP) and QAU. It brought together Vice Chancellors, Rectors, and senior representatives from 25 universities and institutions, fostering dialogue on the role of character education in higher .
The session was chaired by Prof Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, Vice Chancellor of , with Dr Sumaira Rehman, Rector of Superior University Lahore, delivering a key address. Participants exchanged and recommendations on integrating character development into frameworks to foster sustainable academic and societal success.
A noteworthy outcome of the is that the recommendations from this forum will be presented at the 5th Rectors Conference, slated for November 27-28 in Islamabad. The forthcoming conference will serve as a platform to enhance collaboration among institutions and reshape Pakistan’s educational system.
The discussion highlighted the vital link between mastery and academic . Participants emphasized the need for universities to go beyond conventional curricula by embedding character , civic responsibility, and core values into their programs. These efforts aim to equip students not only with but also with the moral compass required for and social responsibility.
The event underscored that sustainable success in hinges on producing graduates who excel both and ethically. Attendees stressed the importance of collective efforts to nurture a generation that can positively contribute to the nation’s progress through integrity, empathy, and engagement.
