- **Tough tiles flooring** installed in corridors, verandas, and open areas (especially where no grey structure existed before) – durable, safe, easy to maintain, and perfect for our energetic students!
- The school structure refreshed in a beautiful **green and grey** combination – green symbolizing growth and hope, grey for strength and a modern touch. Looks fresh and professional now!
- **Extended usable school area** for students – cleaned up unused spaces, added simple seating from recycled/low-cost materials, created shaded corners, better-organized playground/learning zones, giving our boys more room to play, learn, and thrive.

Best part? It was achieved through **low-cost/no-cost** efforts –

A productive and forward-thinking **School Council meeting** was held today at **Government High School Taxila**!

The council came together to discuss and decide on key future plans for our beloved school. Here are the main highlights and decisions:

- **Tough decisions on work priorities**: We debated between gray (basic/essential) and green (development-focused) approaches amid challenging times. The focus remains on sustainable progress despite limited resources.

- **Renovation of Computer Lab**: Plans approved to upgrade and renovate the computer lab to provide better facilities for digital learning and modern education.

- **Board Centre for SSC Exams**: Discussion on making our school a reliable **Board Examination Centre** for SSC (Matric) exams – a big step toward enhancing our school's status and convenience for students.

- **Improving School Infrastructure**: In-depth talks on overall infrastructure development, including better classrooms, facilities, and environment for students and staff.

- **Examination Hall Paperwork**: Progress on official paperwork and coordination with the administration/board to establish an **Examination Hall**.

**Government High School (GHS) Taxila** in Punjab, Pakistan, observed the **International Day for the Prevention of Violent Extremism as and when Conducive to Terrorism** (commonly referred to as the International Day against Violent Extremism or similar in local contexts) on February 12, 2026.

This UN-designated day, established by General Assembly resolution 77/243, focuses on raising awareness about the threats of violent extremism, promoting peace, tolerance, education, and community resilience to prevent conditions that lead to terrorism.

It's especially encouraging that the students at GHS Taxila participated with such enthusiasm—events like these often include:

- Student speeches, debates, or pledge-taking ceremonies
