Teacher Exchange Program 2013-2014 is funded by US Embassy in Pakistan and managed by University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute in the United States, with the support of Children Global Network in Pakistan.
Through this program, 20 Secondary School Teachers will be provided the opportunity to attend an intensive five week summer program hosted at the University of Massachusetts. The US portion of the program will tentatively run from June 1, 2014, till July 8, 2014.
Each teacher will participate in a program that will provide training and instruction including Instructional Rounds, Curriculum Development and Educator Evaluator Systems. The programs consists of a program orientation, four weeks of intensive work with American Teachers and students and a three day trip to Boston, Massachusetts. The program will consist of class room instruction, in-classroom learning, cultural events and site visits. The grant will fund the costs of a visa interview and visa fee. The grant will also fund travel to and from the US and, while in the US, housing, food, transport and small incidental expenses.
