In an official notification issued 30-November-2022, the Vice-Chancellor of QAU has approved the recommendations of the Social Sciences Faculty to start a 2-year LLM Program at QAU. The next step is approval from the Academic Council. After the final approval from Academic Council which still remains, the program will be started at QAU.

CAMPUS: Days ago, CDA’s bulldozers began tearing down the university’s carefully nurtured forest and levelling the ground, writes QAU Physics professor Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy, describing the sad incident. Their goal is to build a highway that will allow heavy traffic bound for Murree to traverse through the university.

Thus amputated, the campus will forever be split into two non-contiguous, non-communicating parts. CAMPUS: QAU Admissions Daily News was able to acquire a document which details the reasons of the October 2022 strike at the university by a group of students called QSF. The document is a 21-point agenda. Below is the attached document.

CAMPUS: Some student bodies start a strike against the QAU administration due to disagreement over certain issues with the QAU administration addressed by them in a document. The university remains closed as well as the university transportation.

CAMPUS: In an official notification, the QAU Administration has changed the name of the Department of Sociology. It will now be called as the School of Sociology. The reaction of students is yet to be heard about this change of name.

: The QAU Administration has extended the date for the submission of university dues for the Fall 2022 semester. The due date is now October 5th, 2022.

: Jashn-e-Pakistan 2022 postponed.

Jashn-e-Pakistan 2022, which was to be held from 25 to 27 May 2022 at QAU has been postponed due to the political uncertainty of Islamabad and due to a threat alert that has been issued by the Ministry of Interior. The new schedule for Jashn-e-Pakistan 2022 will be issued soon.

: QAU will hold the second edition of Jashan-e- Pakistan from 25 to 27 May after a break of 4 years following the great success of the first edition which was held in 2018, where 180+ leading institutions of Pakistan actively participated now QAU is initiating Jashn-e-Pakistan’22; a multi-category three-day event from May 25th-27th, 2022.

We invite all the diversely talented students to participate as their presence will motivate us to maintain the magnificent tradition of arranging mega events in Pakistan and to boost the positive image of Pakistan around the globe.
