ORIC Professional Development Successfully Started Two-Day Hands on Training/Workshop on Sentimental Analysis By Using

CUI Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization - ORIC under its program ORIC Professional Development Center is organizing a workshop on "Sentiment Analysis using R" on 18-19 January 2024.

Sentiment analysis, an area of NLP, have proven the utility in diverse applications such as
(a) Forecasting bankruptcy
(b) Assessing financial performance
(c) Predicting stock market trends.

This escalating significance of sentiment analysis has paved the way for new research opportunities. This hands-on training program is meticulously designed to enhance the skills of faculty and graduate students, enabling them to address the frontier of research challenges effectively.
Who should participate?
-Researchers and faculty who wish to apply for local/international research grants.
-MS/PhD candidates who wish to apply for local and international scholarships and want to work in the frontier of research.

Comsats Oric PD successfully organized two day hands-on workshop on "Structural Equation Modeling using SMART PLS 4.0"
participants from Comsats University Islamabad and various other universities attended the workshop.

Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization, Professional Development (ORIC-PD) and Directorate of Planning, Development and Human Resource Development (P, D and HRD) and jointly organized a one-day Workshop on “Role of Faculty as a Nation Builder: Developing Nation Builders and Entrepreneurs for the Future” for faculty of COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) and other local universities. The objective of the workshop was to empower Pakistani university faculty with the knowledge and tools to instill a higher purpose of life and an entrepreneurial mindset among students.

The workshop was be funded by Technical University Berlin (TUB) and DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) through Gujranwala Institute of Future Technologies (GIFT) The resource persons include the Vice Chancellor of GIFT University, Prof. Dr. Shahid Qureshi, and two speaker joined online from TUB and DAAD, Germany. 60 participants from various universities of Pakistan attended the workshop. Vice chancellor ITU, Lahore also attended the workshop. The closing ceremony was graced by Rector CUI, Registrar, Incharge Campus, CUI-Islamabad Campus, Director P, D & HRD and Incharge ORIC.
