5 to 6 years in case of FAST xD

Universities nowadays are focusing more on making new buildings to admit more students and making more money. Yesterday a young girl (Haleema) of 2nd semester A&F, fell from the fourth floor of a newly constructed Business School in Bahria University. This girl was put on hand stretcher by four-man and was then taken to a university infirmary, from where she was taken to PIMS where she took her last breath and died. After listening to her tragic death, I was thinking about student facilities and university mismanagement.

Because of the incomplete building structure and safety measurements, the Business School building was opened for classes from the first day 11-Sept-2019. No grill fencing, open holes of sewerage pipes, lack of staff and admin caused the death of Haleema. This poor show of management and greed to earn more from the students, and a decision from Bahria University Rector and Director to push students to take classes in an incomplete building without any safety protocols caused her death. Students are forced to take classes in a building where there is no WiFi, no internet connection to take attendance, Projector for lectures, Air Conditions, Drinking Water cooler, Fire Extinguishers or any basic facilities.

Thank God it didn't happen in FAST, otherwise we don't have any infirmary or sickbay to treat injured students or any ambulance to take them to hospital. The fastest transport facility which we can use is university Suzuki carry van for which we have to take approval from the director.

Most of you don't know that this type of similar incident has also happened in our FAST NUCES Islamabad, back in 2014. The poor structure of stairs in EE Dept (in front of EE GCR) was collapsed and two students from batch 11 (EE) were badly hurt. After the protest from their class fellows, the university management agreed to compensate them with **attendance** only.

To university management, please for God's sake, before opening any new building, please make sure that all the safety protocols are completed. Start considering the students as your children.

To those who are in power (Chancellor of Universities President Dr. Arif Alvi, elected members of National Assembly from Islamabad Asad Umar, Ali Nawaz Awan (PTI Official), Islamabad Administration Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Capital Development Authority - CDA, Islamabad we will request you to not only take notice of this incident, but also take strict action against those who are responsible. I would like to quote Hazrat Umar Bin Khattab (R.A) "If a dog dies hungry on the banks of the River Euphrates, Umar will be responsible for dereliction of duty". From your actions, prove that Haleema's death does not go in vain.

Last, please pray for the Haleema and hope that no parents who will send their children to university for education, will get them back in the coffin because of the university mismanagement.
