Human Rights – Our Rights, Our Responsibility
Class 10 presented a thought-provoking Human Rights Assembly highlighting four fundamental rights: the Right to Education, Equality, Dignity, and Freedom of Speech. Through a meaningful and emotionally engaging drama, students portrayed real-life situations of rights violations and conveyed a powerful message that every individual deserves respect, fairness, dignity, and justice. The presentation concluded with a collective pledge to not only understand our rights but also to respect and protect the rights of others.
As a follow-up classroom activity, students engaged in an interactive discussion on Human Rights, shared their perspectives, raised thoughtful points, and reflected on the importance of equality, respect, freedom, and responsibility in everyday life. The activity encouraged students to think critically and recognise that human rights are not merely principles to be learned, but values to be practised.
