I am an active Munner and have been attending many MUN’s all over the country in all categories. I have a military background as my father is serving Air Force. Presenting our First Committee Director, Hailing from Lahore PAKISTAN! With a very distinct experienced background, a senior munner respected by and known by all, and with over a vast amount of MUNS on his list, he surely won't disappoint ;). This Chair was called on a special request by the President. We are honored to have him on board.

I, Khurram Abaid Shah, (you can call me Abaid Shah) welcome you all to UNSC committee at HUMUN'17 as your Committee Director.

A brief introduction, I recently graduated in Political Science, currently doing a Masters in International Relations while a CSS aspirant now adays. Debating has been my passion since childhood. I am really passionate about this form of debates and I believe in honesty, hard work and leadership. (Hint1) I have also been a motivational speaker and have represented Pakistan on various international platforms.

Regarding this prestigious committee of UNSC, this committee stands dearest to my heart as it has been my committee since the beginning of my own career. Hence I must tell you that I am looking forward to a well-organized, thoroughly revised and a good debate. It is important to note that a ‘good debater’ knows what actually is required from him/her. For me, winning does not matter a lot, as all of you cannot win, but what matters the most is one's devotion, strength, participation, and effort. I will always be there to help and guide you, but most of the time you will have to earn what you want to achieve.

Advice for you all is to participate and do not hesitate to speak. Even though it can seem intimidating to participate, the very act of participation can undeniably enrich your experience as a delegate. Also, get to know your fellow delegates. I have met wonderful people through my model UN experience, and I still consider many of those people to be my friends to this very day.

So delegates, be well prepared, well dressed, well organized and be ready for a good debate. Give me a good debate and I will make this MUN and especially this committee a memorable part of your life. Feel free to contact me about any queries. Till then stay safe and happy.
