Hashoo School of Hospitality Management, BU Islamabad, had the honour of welcoming 𝐃𝐫. 𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐫 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐤, 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐫, 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘇𝗮𝗱 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗺𝘂 & 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗶𝗿, for a strategic engagement focused on collaboration and future growth.

During the visit, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐚𝐞𝐞𝐦 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧, Director Education, HSHM, presented the institution’s academic portfolio, modern training facilities, and industry-led approach to hospitality education.

The discussion also included key stakeholders, including 𝐌𝐫. 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐥 and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐳𝐡𝐚𝐫 from 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝 (𝐏𝐄𝐄𝐅), Ministry of Education, Government of Pakistan, focusing on greater educational access and opportunity.

A key highlight was the shared vision to empower the youth of AJK through a dedicated 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 & 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 in collaboration with the UAJ&K opening pathways to global careers.

Rooted in the legacy of the 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 & 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, the engagement reflected a collective commitment to developing future-ready talent through purposeful, industry-driven education.

An enriching 3-𝐝𝐚𝐲 immersive workshop on “Modern Hospitality Skills,” held in proud collaboration with 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐁𝐍𝐔).

Led by industry veteran 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐳𝐚𝐦 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥, our students dived deep into the future of the trade. From the transformative power of AI in guest services to the critical importance of sustainable hotel operations and professional grooming, the sessions were designed to create "future-ready" professionals.

Day 2: 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐨 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 – 𝐁𝐚𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 students continued their immersive learning experience with a focused training on HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) at 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐑𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢.

Students were introduced to the structured processes that ensure hygiene, risk prevention, and quality control across professional kitchens.

Through this hands-on exposure, students developed a deeper understanding of:
• Food safety protocols and international standards
• Identification and control of potential hazards
• Implementation of critical control points in live environments
• Maintaining consistency in hygiene and operational excellence

The training was concluded with certificate distribution among students, reinforcing their readiness to meet industry expectations with confidence and competence.

In a landmark three-party collaboration, 19 institutes were approved by CTH who actively engaged in obtaining internationally endorsed certification, resulting in award to 204 successful
students earning globally accepted CTH endorsed certification.

Through this initiative, students have received dual certification. A national credential from NAVTTC alongside an internationally endorsed certification from CTH (UK), significantly enhancing their global employability, mobility, and industry relevance.

With a 100% pass rate across all evaluated institutes, this marks one remarkable step forward in strengthening Pakistan’s hospitality education ecosystem and bridging the gap between local training and international standards.

This 3–6 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 programme is designed for ambitious hospitality students who seek hands-on operational training across 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 & 𝗕𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 (𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 & 𝗞𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻), 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲/𝗛𝗥. An evening of reflection and fellowship on 7 March 2026, when 𝐌𝐫. & 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐳𝐚 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐢 hosted an Iftar dinner and welcomed 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐝 along with distinguished members of the Bahria University delegation.
