The Department of Environmental & Earth Sciences (E&ES) at Bahria University H-11 campus, proudly facilitated an on-campus walk-in recruitment drive in collaboration with S&P Global, creating a valuable opportunity for our fresh graduates to step directly into the professional world.

This initiative reflects the department’s continued commitment to bridging academia and industry—ensuring our students are not only academically equipped but also professionally connected. By bringing leading employers to campus, E&ES is actively shaping career pathways and empowering graduates to transition confidently into the job market.

Out of 39 graduates appearing in the interview, 15 were shortlisted for the final interview at S&P Global office.

We proudly congratulate our esteemed faculty member, Dr. Fiza Sarwar, Associate Professor, on securing the prestigious NRPU research grant from the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, valued at PKR 10.04 million.

The funded project focuses on investigating the health impacts of air particulate matter and employs AI-assisted approaches to identify plant species for effective pollutant sequestration in Lahore. This innovative research aims to contribute toward sustainable and long-term solutions for improving urban air quality.

We also acknowledge the valuable contributions of Co-PI Dr. Ammara Dar (Department of Chemistry, University of the Punjab), EPA Punjab, NCPC, Bacha Khan University and Foreign collaborators.

This achievement is a testament to the strong research culture and academic excellence fostered at the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Bahria University. We look forward to impactful outcomes that will support evidence-based environmental management and policy development.

The Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences, Bahria University, proudly hosted “From Data to Decision: Powering Pakistan’s Future through NSDI” in collaboration with the Survey of Pakistan, with Absar Asghar and Hena Shahzada as guest speakers.
The event was organized by Ms. Aasia Wahab, Senior Lecturer, to strengthen academia–government collaboration in geospatial development.
The event included expert presentations, insightful discussions, and an interactive policy-design activity that encouraged students to understand the importance of NSDI and standardized geospatial data for national development.
Together, we move from data to decision — building a smarter, standards-driven geospatial future for Pakistan.
