A proud moment for all the students of Islamic University.
Career Success
Some brief CV Tips
1. Always write your full official name and address in the CV
2. Don't use the personal pronoun "I"
3. Don't give irrelevant information like gender etc. unless asked for or if you are applying abroad who may not be able to judge your gender etc. by name.
4. Normally don't add picture to your CV for recruiter to indulge in any kind of bias unless NEEDED OR REQUIRED.
5. Always write only about those skills which you can support with some practical achievements. If you don't have any "event management" experience certificate or you have never attended any course don't add it to your CV.
6. Always use simple language. Don't add flowery words that look unprofessional and copy/pasted from the outlook. Professional recruiters can always judge these things at a glance.
7. Write your qualifications and work experience in descending order starting from latest to the oldest.
8. Don't lie, always proof read for grammatical mistakes, have symmetry in font and MS Word settings.
9. Don't add references unless they are required.
10. Always write your personal contact number in international format like +92-333-1234567 etc.
11. Don't write about your hobbies and interests, they are not inviting you for friendship.
12. Always write about relevant things only, don't use same CV for all kind of purposes etc., tailor your CV to the specific requirements of any job, internship, education etc.
For example after becoming a professional worker, no one will be interested in your matric and inter result, so don't waste the space on useless information. If you have better selling points use them to get yourself more worth.
13. The shorter the better, 1 page CV is always liked but 2 is also not bad if the detail is more, but never more than 2 else those who have vast number of publications and are applying for such research based job.
14. Use such information in CV that is most relevant to the employer where you are applying.
15. Always email CVs and Cover Letters in PDF format so as not to disturb print and page settings.
16. Use "Key Words" in the CV according to your industry and field as now a days software read CVs at some places and they look for key words for any CV to pass the initial screening. For example a clinical Psychology professional may have used such words in job achievements or internships such as, "tested", "administered", "provided counseling", "therapy", "research", "interviewed", "assessed" and many more.
No matter how much talent you may have, if you are not professional in attitude you won’t succeed much.
And CV is one vital skill to have. Don't take things for granted because they look unimportant to us. The recruiter will assess your whole life from one page – make it count.
Tips related to CV
One of the two things happen when you submit your CV, either it is being fed into a HR software which filters the CVs based on the keywords of the job description or someone reads them. In both cases, the most important thing is to read the job description of the vacancy and then add those keywords into your CV. Remember lying will not help.
WARNING!!!!!:
PLEASE, DO NOT WRITE YOUR NIC NUMBER, YOUR MOTHER`S NAME, FATHER`S NAME, YOUR PASSPORT NUMBER OR EVEN YOUR ADDRESS IN THE CV.
WARNING!!!!!!
Scenario #1: This is when your CV is going to be read by potential employer. In this case, make sure that CV is precise, highlight those traits which are required by the job. Filter anything not directly related to the Job to the end of the CV.
Don't just mention your previous jobs, write everything which matches with the job description as your job responsibilities (off course no lies). If you are applying for a research job then write your academics, publications and everything related to that CV first, and highlight these.
Be creative, CV is a paper, you can use a color combination, graphics, anyway your cv could stand out.
Nowadays I am going to post about things to help you guys create good profile. Whenever you are applying anywhere you are not just representing yourself but your university as well. CV is not something that should be taken lightly. If you put effort in your CV it can help to land your dream job.

Masters degree Scholarships and PhD exchange in France by French Govt. Eiffel Scholarships 2020
** Read full post
Dear all, Master / MS/ MPhil Scholarships at France, Eiffel will open soon for applications. Masters/MPhil degree of 12 and 24 months
Also if you are doing PhD in Pakistan, you can go for 10 months PhD exchange to French University in it
Eiffel Scholarships :Applications will be open soon and deadlines will be in first week of January, 2020. But you cannot apply directly for it. French Universities will apply on your behalf, if you apply there and they select and nominate you for it
*** Every university in France has its own deadlines, so do follow the deadlines of universities as they are passing by now.
Why Posting Early?
***Because last year we saw that French universities prefer foreign students to be selected in first edition of their admission applications. They told that you should have admission in French universities in first session of admissions (there can be three or four sessions of admission in French universities). Then you will be considered for Eiffel and other scholarships in France and have better success ratio in Eiffel.
So, we want that you start from today following the procedure given below, Start emailing French universities and start getting information about French universities and following them and apply as soon as universities in France announce admissions. You can get more information about it from Campus France Pakistan. We will also try to provide more information in future
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Procedure of their selection
1) You apply for admissions in French universities, who are taking students under Eiffel (Choosing one university for final selection)
***** Must try to apply in first session of admissions, which means you have to keep on checking french universities websites for first session of applications
2) French University that selects you, will nominate you as its Eiffel Scholarship candidate to French authorities ,French Authorities will give final decision of your selection. You can apply in many french university but choose only one french university to get nominate you. If multiple french universities nominate you for eiffel, you will be rejected
How to find universities under Eiffel ? They can be found out by any of the three ways below
3) a) Find the universities and courses in universities that are under eiffel using google. write in google "Eiffel 2020 2021"
b) You can also use these two links , but again to confirm about these courses, you have to ask universities if they accept you under eiffel for that course
*Master: https://www.campusfrance.org/en (Select Students tab on the top of page and go through search)
* PhD : https://doctorat.campusfrance.org/en/phd/dschools/main
** Also find any universities in France through google and ask them if they nominate the students under Eiffel
4) Contact the French universities yourself and tell them that you want to be an Eiffel Candidate or apply via Eiffel and then apply there as soon as universities reply
5) Also now Campus France Pakistan can help. Contact them
6) Also see these videos, we did with Zubair Aslam who is Eiffel scholarship winner
https://www.facebook.com/zubair.aslam.16/videos/1904251359630944/
https://www.facebook.com/zubair.aslam.16/videos/1990527804336632/
7) Try to target Govt. universities in France or private universities with low tuition fee. As tution fee is not covered in Eiffel, but if you see the tuition fee in France for Public universities is almost 200 Euros per year and in private its almost 600 euros per year. So, you can pay your tuition fee from one month stipend of Eiffel, which is almost 1000 Euros per month. It can variable as well between 200 Euros to 2000 Euros a year. Still, you can pay it from your stipend. so do not worry about tuition fee matter

**Also see university admission requirements and update yourself with IELTS/ TOEFL etc , whatever is required
*** In many universities, you can get admission without TOEFL and IELTS, so you can apply with English proficiency certificate from parent university. For confirmation of it, you have to ask french university officials by emails but take chances and apply
