Creating a semi-automated rating system was one of the key goals of our club. A system that members can use to track their progress, interact with other members, and improve as players.
The quickest and most fun way to achieve this goal was to code our own Discord bot and make it public to all members inside our very own Discord server. And thanks to our immensely talented Vice Head MusaDAC, we were able to achieve this goal with ease.
All the ratings that our members update in the server will be stored in a MongoDB database alongside other data. Users can fetch this data anytime they like to access their performance and track their improvement over the course of time.

Today marks the official start of the FAST Chess Club. Though many members have already applied, many still haven't. Consider this a final call to arms.
We wish to take an educational approach to chess with an automated rating system exclusive to chess members only. Anyone who wants to hone his/her chess skills is welcome to apply as a member by filling the form mailed to them.
Later on, we also wish to organize chess matches/tournaments for people to compete and show their talent!
Hurry up though, as the last date to apply is 28th October 2021
