I first met Prof.Dr Yahia Abdul-Rahman in Malaysia, and afterward, I invited him to visit Lahore, Pakistan in 2017, when I was serving as the convener of the Global Conference on Islamic Finance. Due to a high level official meeting, he couldn’t attend but to honor the invitation, he graciously sent me a set of his book, "The Art of RF (Riba-Free) Islamic Banking and Finance" all the way from the USA, along with a heartfelt promise to visit in the future. I distributed those books among my students and colleagues, where they became a valuable source of learning and inspiration.
True to his word, he visited with joy in 2019. Unfortunately, I had just left the institute by the time of his arrival. Still, in his characteristic warmth, he invited me for dinner, and I traveled nearly 300 km to meet him and personally thank him for visiting my country. 🙏
He was a beautiful soul full of wisdom, kindness, and grace. May Allah grant him eternal peace, comfort, and the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous. His presence will be deeply missed, but his impact will never fade. ❤️❤️
